Saffery Trust has been announced as the sole sponsor of the STEP Guernsey Next Gen Initiative for the next two years.
Launched in Guernsey in 2023, the initiative supports students, trainees and junior professionals working in and around the fiduciary sector. Through a programme of educational, social and networking events, STEP Guernsey Next Gen provides an important platform for those at the early stages of their careers to develop their knowledge, build confidence and create meaningful connections across the local industry.
The sponsorship reflects Saffery Trust’s long-standing commitment to professional development and to supporting the future of Guernsey’s private wealth sector. As a STEP Platinum Employer Partner since 2015, the firm has a strong focus on learning, development and professional standards, with many of its people undertaking STEP qualifications and actively contributing to industry initiatives.
Saffery Trust’s support for STEP NextGen also extends beyond Guernsey. The firm has been the main sponsor of the STEP Cayman NextGen initiative since its inception, helping to support similar opportunities for junior practitioners in another key international fiduciary jurisdiction. In Guernsey, members of the Saffery Trust team are also engaged with the initiative directly, with Assistant Manager Lily Simmons serving on the STEP Guernsey Next Gen Committee.
